Eugene. Sports. And a River That Kept Calling.
Revel began with three longtime friends, a shared love of wild places, and a belief that the gear you carry should feel as meaningful as the memories you make with it.
Tony, Ryan, and Nathan first met in Eugene at the University of Oregon. Sports brought them together — Tony wrestled, Ryan played football, Nathan worked as a football equipment manager. But over the years, it was fishing that kept pulling them back into the same rhythm.
Alpine lakes reached by backpacking trail. Montana retreats with long days on the water. Cold mornings, full packs, stories around the fire, and big fish at Pyramid Lake. The places changed. The pursuit stayed the same.

Why Revel Exists
The Gear Didn’t Feel Like the Places.
As they spent more time on the water, they kept noticing the same thing. So much of the gear felt either overly technical, cheaply made, or forgettable. It worked for a season, maybe two — but it didn’t carry the feel of the places they loved.
It didn’t feel like something you’d want to keep. Repair. Pass down. Remember.
So Tony began designing something different.
