Try Before You Revel Program
A pack has to feel right. Get it in your hands before you commit.
How Try Before You Buy Works
Try it like you mean it (just keep it dry)
Here's what you can do:
- Try it on and adjust the straps for fit
- Load it up with your actual gear (fly boxes, tools, layers)
- Walk around with it fully packed to feel the carry and balance
- Practice casting with it on (backyard, driveway, park) to see how it moves
Here's what you can't do:
- Don't take it on the water
- Don't get it wet (no rain, no river, no boat, no waders situation)
- Avoid dirt, mud, fish slime, smoke, or anything that marks the materials
Why:
We want you to truly test the fit and function, while keeping it in "new" condition for the next person if you decide it's not the one.
Your 7-day trial starts on delivery. You'll only be charged for what you keep. A $15 return shipping fee may apply. See email for return date.
FAQs
Select your gear and add it to your cart using the "Try Before You Buy" button on the product page. At checkout, your due today total will show $0, and an authorization (or "hold") for the full amount will be placed on your card. Once your package is delivered, you'll have 7 days to decide what to keep. When you're ready, initiate a return for the rest through our Returns Portal. Once your return is processed, the pending hold will be released within a few business days (depending on your bank), and you'll only be charged for what you kept. *A $10 return shipping fee may apply. Try Before You Buy is currently available in the US (excluding New Mexico).
Similar to booking a hotel or rideshare, we reserve the funds in case you decide to keep your items. An authorization is not a charge. You'll only be charged for what you keep.
Your 7-day trial begins once your package is delivered. Keep an eye on your email for delivery updates. You have until the end of the 7th day to create your return in our Returns Portal.
Banks limit how long a hold can remain valid. If shipping delays happen, the original authorization may expire before we can complete your return. If that happens, your card may be re-authorized so we can finish processing. Once your return is processed, you'll be charged only for what you kept, and the authorization will fall off.
Yes. You can still return eligible items within our standard return window. See our Returns Policy for details.
